Dane County Farmers Market

_DSC0686Here’s part two of our weekend in Madison. We woke up early on Saturday morning, grabbed coffees and pastry treats and slowly walked around the Wisconsin State Capitol square. For every Saturday on the square, local farmers and bakers set up their tents for one of the best farmers markets I have ever seen. Seriously, the colors at this market! I couldn’t stop taking pictures, which is why there are so many here in this post. Everything sold on the square was locally produced; there were flowers of all sorts and homemade pies, sweet chili peppers and jarred pickles, cheese curd samples and cinnamon buns topped with gooey frosting. We strolled along and tent by tent, we ate our way through the square. Good food and good company. The essential ingredients to a beautiful weekend. _DSC0663 _DSC0667 _DSC0671_DSC0654_DSC0673 _DSC0674 _DSC0678 _DSC0679_DSC0740 _DSC0680 _DSC0681 _DSC0684_DSC0689 _DSC0692 _DSC0698 _DSC0700 _DSC0721 _DSC0724 _DSC0727 _DSC0728 _DSC0730_DSC0726_DSC0732 _DSC0737 _DSC0739_DSC0746 _DSC0749 _DSC0751 _DSC0752 _DSC0760 _DSC0762 _DSC0766 _DSC0768 _DSC0769 _DSC0771 _DSC0774
