Cooking With Blue Apron

Blue Apron RecipeHave you guys ever heard of Blue Apron? If not, you have to check it out! It’s one of the coolest subscription boxes out there. Blue Apron sends you a package full of fresh ingredients  as well as original recipes so that you can cook them up in your own home. It’s such a great date night activity and it’s SO nice not having to contemplate what to make for dinner. Because if you’re anything like me, you’re hungry once 8 p.m. rolls around and you’re staring aimlessly into your fridge for a good ten minutes trying to figure out what to make. And when you’re out of ideas or too lazy to think of something to put together, you close the fridge and walk away only to find yourself staring back into the fridge a few minutes later, expecting there to be something new. And then you just give up on cooking all together and opt for a frozen waffle instead. Blue Apron totally solved this problem for me and there were no frozen waffles consumed the nights my subscription box arrived. What’s also awesome about Blue Apron is that you get to learn new, simple recipes. In fact, Dave and I keep all our Blue Apron recipe cards, so that we can use them again in the future. Blue Apron portion sizes are very generous and the recipes are pretty much fool proof. And most of all, the food is delicious. We have boxes like this in the UK and I did consider getting them for a while but because I have to steer clear of dairy it wouldn’t have worked for me. I absolutely love the idea though!

There are quite a few of these now out there, which I think are awesome. I haven’t tried them yet so I am looking forward to it in the future. I enjoy cooking at home but I think if you budget accordingly it can be cost and time-effective. The convenience sounds amazing though. :) Have a great one Melissa and glad you enjoyed it!
