Dave’s Birthday At Rocky Mountain National Park (Part 2)

I had to share our second day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park in a separate post because there are too many beautiful mountain pics. I seriously have the hardest time choosing which photos to post since they’re all so different and offer so much nature and beauty! Just bare with me because this post is pretty much all mountain pictures, I went a little crazy! Anyways, after our night stay in Estes Park, we woke up and had breakfast bagels and coffee outside on the lawn chairs by the river. It was a great way to start the morning and I really just wish we could eat breakfast outside like that every morning.

We then packed up the car and headed into the park towards our hiking destination. We heard that the Bear Lake area of RMNP is a popular spot for hiking because the scenery is so gorgeous. We knew it would be crowded but still decided to check it out. To be honest, it was fairly crowded but we didn’t mind since it was SO gorgeous! Seriously, these mountains are no joke and the photos just don’t do it justice. We ended up hiking to Dream Lake, Emerald Lake, and Nymph Lake. They are all pretty easy trails, but we were glad we had our hiking boots on because there were some snowy patches.

This hike felt so different from the hike we did the day before where we saw practically no one. I have to say, it was kind of comforting knowing that the trails were well traveled. And even though there were a bunch of other people on the trail, we were still able have a few moments when it was just us on a stretch. We were also able to snap a bunch of photos without any other people in them, which is always a plus!

We had so much fun on the trails celebrating this birthday boy. I still feel extremely blessed that we got to celebrate in the mountains together. I just can’t wait to celebrate more birthday’s with this one. :)

Also, let me know if you know of any great hikes in RMNP that we should do! I always love a good recco!
