The other day I was admittedly giving Dave a hard time for ordering another watch online because it seems like he already has at least seven watches. And then he gave me a look and told me that watches are a must for men because they complete a man’s outfit. And of course, depending on your outfit you need a different watch – a sporty one for coaching, a smart one for nights out, a casual one for hanging around town. And you know what, I thought about it for a second and then I was like yeah, you’re right. Watches are a sexy accessory for men and almost a must. They’re like the equivalent of shoes for a women’s outfit – they just make your look! So now I have to say, I pay attention to which watch he’s wearing and I do think it makes him THAT much more sexy to me ;)
Since we’ve moved to Colorado I can also admit that my clothing and accessory choices have changed. Honestly, I’ve slipped into the land of Patagonia and athleisure wear and I don’t hate it at all. I used to wear stilettos to work and now I wear nothing but comfortable booties and flats. Dave hasn’t really changed his outfit styles as much (guys are easy like that) but he did find himself a unique wooden watch (to add to the watch collection, of course!) and I think it totally fits our Colorado lifestyle. Seriously though, what’s more Coloradan than a wooden watch? The wooden watch he got was from JORD and when he showed me the men’s watches on their website, I was so impressed by how beautiful and unique they were. I was a little skeptical of a wooden watch at first, but it truly is a piece of art. It is also really well made, sturdy and surprisingly detailed. But what’s most special about his new wooden watch is that it has our last name engraved on the back of it. He plans to keep the watch in our family and I think that’s pretty special.
I checked out the women’s watches on their site and oh my gosh! They are all so beautiful and timeless. I especially love the Cassia Series and the Frankie Series.
